Oh yeah, that 30 Days of Thankfullness thing that convinced me that I need to invest my words more wisely so that they may be found again someday, lets get caught up! So here they are in re-vamped FB style (Italicized is my added thoughts)!
Day 1- I'm thankful for my little family For a long time we thought that we'd be a family of 3 then God blessed us with Critter. We say that we are done, however if God blessed us with another we would be happy as can be.... don't know where we would put anyone else, but we would make it work.
Day 2- I'm thankful for the small things in my day that helps brighten it. On this day in particular was a cup of apple cider and a piece of candy apple cake that made my day. Most days it's something my kiddos say or do. Other days it's something said by an elderly at work. I love these little things. I don't often get big surprises, so I've learned to appreciate the little things!
Day 3- I'm thankful for ripped knees in jeans.... it means that I have a happy, healthy, lively boy! He's definitely got his daddy's legs.... short (and he's no beanpole either)! I'm very happy that my MIL happily (or atleast acts happy) hems them and helps sew up the torn ones to make them acceptable play clothes too!
Day 4- I'm thankful for our house. We don't own our own home however I do have pretty good landlords :) It's definitely not a huge house, but it's cozy and it's home in a pretty safe neighborhood.
Day 5- I'm thankful for being able to pay our bills. We were a one income family for a long time. Now that we are no longer in that situation, we are being able to play catch up (I no longer have to hypervenilate over that $700 electric bill). It also helps that I found that envelope that had $300 cash in it that I (or Critter) accidentally threw away.
Day 6- I'm thankful that my nephew will be OK (he was hit by a car last night). When I asked my brother where he was when the accident happened, he said "the road, duh". He's still in ICU but things are looking way better for him. He's off of the ventilator and he's talking. It's going to be a long road ahead of him, but ultimately he will be ok.... it could have been Car 1 and Pedestrian 0, and the fact that it's not is a miracle.
Day 7- I'm thankful to be able to work with the kids at BCC alongside my FIL. We go to the church in the ghetto. So needless to say, most of our kids come alone, and most not even consistently. We are continually praying that we are planting seeds that someday will take hold. Also, My FIL is an awesome guy.
Whew, that was long winded. Thanks for sticking around if you did!
